Rex LaSasso joined Commercial Carolina Corporation in August 2009, and has distinguished himself as a Retail and Investment Sales Specialist.  Prior to joining Commercial Carolina, he has been involved in commercial real estate throughout North Carolina for over 10 years.  As a Land Acquisition Manager, Rex evaluated property and businesses from the coast to the Triad for his investors, and completed the negotiation and sale of a 500-acre tract west of Brier Creek valued at 15 million.  In addition, Rex and a North Carolina developer partnered to purchase and develop shopping center and flex space properties in markets throughout the Triangle.  Rex has successfully secured space for a range of clients from franchisees and small business owners to currently representing large retail centers and redevelopment sites.

Mr. LaSasso’s expertise in land acquisition and sales, retail property development, and thorough knowledge of the commercial retail market allows him to aggressively pursue property for his clients.  Rex is a proven business development expert, and together with his team, he optimizes investment opportunities and strategic acquisitions utilizing leasing, purchase, co-investment and 1031 exchanges.

Mr. LaSasso is licensed as a Broker-in-Charge in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR).  Rex is a high-energy individual who believes in building strong relationships and is active in several Triangle business and civic organizations.

Originally from New York, Rex relocated to the Raleigh area in 1997.  Prior to his Real Estate career, Rex served in the Air Force and enjoyed a career in Aviation technology.  He currently resides in Morrisville with his wife and son and enjoys high school athletics, wine tastings and travel.
